The Founding Years (1976–1980)
Apple was founded on April 1, 1976, by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne in Cupertino, California. Wozniak designed the Apple I, the company’s first product, which was sold as a motherboard rather than a complete computer.
